Everfilt’s CTS-Series ( Cooling Tower Filters ) are designed to give reliable, trouble-free performance over many years of use. Everfilt® uses only heavy duty materials, meticulous fabrication techniques and engineering designs that involve few moving parts. The CTS- Series Cooling Tower Filters are available in single tank or multi-tank models. Tank sizes from 18” to 120” in diameter are available. The system is fully assembled, wired and ready for installation. 18“ and 24” tanks are skid-mounted (skid-mounting is optional on larger sizes). Automatic controls operate the system pump and backwash cycle. Permanent filter media is also included.
Durable, Long-Lasting Construction
Everfilt’s standard media filters are constructed using heavy 3/16” or thicker carbon steel. 304 and 316 stainless steel options are also available. Everfilt’s heavy gauge steel assures long lasting trouble-free operation. For maximum strength, Everfilt® uses a dished and flanged shape for its tank top and bottom, so that the filter will operate even at high operating pressures or pressure differentials. Everfilt® provides as standard, many features that are either not available from others or available only at extra charge. This makes Everfilt one of the best values available.
Cooling Tower Filters & Functionality
The backwash valve is opened by hand or by automatic valve. This shuts off the incoming raw water and opens backwash port to a near atmospheric condition. Pressurized filter water from adjacent filter(s) is forced through the carbon steel underdrain, upward through the gravel pack, expanding the sand bed, forcing the lighter particulate matter out the backwash line. Reversing the backwash valve returns the unit to the filter operation. Everfilt’s unique underdrain uniformly spreads the incoming filtered water so that the maximum debris is separated from the sand in the shortest time period.
The high-strength profile wire screen in the underdrain retains medias finer that No. 20 silica sand, thus eliminating the need for filter back-up screens. The non-clogging characteristic of the screen makes it the most reliable collection system available. Everfilt® is also the only manufacturer whose underdrain is all steel construction and fully welded. The added strength results in years of trouble-free, reliable operation.
