remove suspended solids and turbidity, while media filters
typically remove other types of contaminants present as

Sand Filters, Multi Media Filters and Media Filters are used for:

Filter capacities are from 5
GPM to 14 MGD with solids removal to 2 microns. Over 50 dissolved
substances can be removed by filters. Chemical injection packages, settling/clarifying
tanks, and disinfection units are also available.
Units are skid-mounted,
factory assembled and wired, hydro-tested, and delivered ready for
installation. Piping, valves, pressure gauges and accessories are
included with filter systems. Solar power, media air scour, and rinse cycle are
available as options. Filter systems are engineered to require little maintenance.
A separate source of water supply or a pump for backwash are seldom
needed.
