Ideally suited for removing large amounts of solids (up to 25 percent) from water and other low viscosity liquids. A self-cleaning strainer is often used as a first step in solid waste removal; the separation and dewatering of solid material. A simple device with no moving parts. Available in a wide range of screen mesh sizes, widths and flow capacities. Everfilt also manufactures sand filters and multi media filters with capacities from 5 GPM to 14 MGD with solids removal to 2 microns. OPERATION

Raw water enters the inlet chamber and is directed over the waterfall to the top of the screen. The raw water then flows down the face of the screen, separating the particulate from the cleaned liquid. The cleaned liquid penetrates the screen, enters the discharge chamber and exits through the fitting in the bottom of the discharge chamber. The particulate concentrate continues down the screen and is collected on the discharge chute.
